Chagnon

Home Route and description Map Chagnon

The year 1887 marks the discovery at Chagnon of a marker stone protecting the Aqueduct in the name of the Emperor Hadrian.

A second exceptional find on this commune was “la cave du curé”, an 80m-long tunnel giving access to part of the Aqueduct.

The siphon crossing the Dureze is doubled up by an 11.5km channel going round the town of Chagnon.
